Roy Rogers Performs Rare Solo Acoustic Concert

Grass Valley, Ca (MPG) – Music industry analysts predict that independent venues and performing arts centers across America are at the brink of total collapse with 90% of venues at risk of permanently closing without federal or local support. This situation is critical and urgent for the performing arts industry. (NIVA.org) In a desire to call attention to Save Our Stages and support local arts organizations and to bring visibility to them, Roy Rogers, 8 time Grammy nominee, and considered one of the preeminent slide guitarists in the world, will be performing a carefully curated solo acoustic concert set on the new stage at The Center for the Arts Grass Valley on Saturday September 20th at 5 PM on Facebook Live. Rogers’ will bring with him an array of vintage guitars rarely seen from his private collection as well as songs & stories from a career that spans 50 years performing festivals and arts venues around the globe.

The online event is free. Donations are welcome and will be directed to MusiCares®. ABOUT THE CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Since 2000, The Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization, has grown into a leading presenter of music, dance, theater, comedy, literary and visual art, and family programming offering more than 150 events per year from its location in downtown Grass Valley. The Center recently completed a major renovation of its multiuse 21,000-square-foot facility in downtown Grass Valley making it a premier performing arts destination. The venue includes the main stage which accommodates up to 492 guests in configurable theater seats, up to 700 patrons for dance shows, and a 90-seat studio theater.
