Officers decided to add this family to the list of deserving families
MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - On Saturday, December 19th, the Marysville Police Department was handing out gifts and food to deserving families in the City of Marysville. As they were handing out gifts, officers heard over the radio that a vehicle was just stolen from the 1700 block of Ellis Lake Drive. With this being a time of giving, officers decided to add this family to the list of deserving families who would be receiving gifts.
About four hours later, officers arrived to deliver gifts and food to the victim of this auto theft. At the exact same time, Marysville Patrol officers spotted the stolen vehicle. officers conducted a high-risk stop on the vehicle on the 1400 block of Swezy Street in the City of Marysville. Officers arrested 33-year-old, John Robert Tau for possession of a stolen vehicle.
The victim of the stolen vehicle not only received gifts and food, but she also received her vehicle back. We are always happy to give back to our community, and this year we were able to give a little more.
