YUBA-SUTTER REGION, CA (MPG) - Bridge Coffee Company, a local artisan coffee roaster has been awarded high honors for two custom blends they recently submitted to Coffee Review.  Founded in 1997, Coffee Review introduced the original 100-point, wine-style coffee reviews to the specialty coffee industry.  It has become the most influential and widely read coffee buying guide, read by more than one million coffee lovers per year.

Vertical Support, a local favorite Espresso blend, was submitted by Bridge Coffee Company and was awarded with a 90 point honor in December.  The Blind Assessment was described in part as “Chocolaty and nut-toned. Chocolate fudge, dark chocolate, raisin, gently scorched cedar, gardenia in aroma and small cup”.

Also awarded in December, 2020 was a 92 point rating for the popular Bowstring Christmas Blend.  The Coffee Review judging panel described it as “Sweet-toned, chocolaty. Baking chocolate, date, roasted cashew, fresh-cut fir, agave syrup in aroma and cup. Sweet structure with brisk acidity; full, velvety mouthfeel. Crisply chocolaty and nut-toned finish”.  Bowstring is only available during the holiday months and will be back at the end of the year.

“The staff and I were honored and humbled to have our coffees rate in the 90’s on our first submissions”, commented Timothy Styczynski, coffee roaster and owner of Bridge Coffee Company.  “I am grateful to Coffee Review judges and more importantly, to our customers who highly praise our blends and encouraged us to submit them for evaluation”, he continued.
