MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - A long-standing holiday tradition, the 70^th annual Marysville Christmas Parade will return to the streets of downtown Marysville on Saturday, December 4^th at 5:00 p.m. 

 Presented by the City of Marysville and Visit Yuba-Sutter, the theme of the 2021 Marysville Christmas parade is “Holiday Ho-Ho-Ho Down” and will begin at 6^th & D Streets heading south to 2^nd & D Streets, then turn eastbound on 2^nd Street, then turn northbound onto C Street and ending at 5^th & C Streets. 

 Santa will greet parade-goers from high atop the Marysville Fire Department ladder truck and his elves will pass out candy canes along the parade route to the children attending the parade.  Following the parade, Santa will meet with children at the park at 3^rd & D Streets to find out if they’ve been naughty or nice and listen to their holiday wish lists.

 New this year, the Marysville Business Alliance welcomes the region to “Cowboy Christmas”, an annual holiday shopping event full of free entertainment, children’s activities and several fun events for big kids (adults).  Cowboy Christmas begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday December 4^th and will continue following the running of the Marysville Christmas Parade.

 FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3RD

5:30 p.m.: Mayor’s Lighting of the Marysville Christmas Tree (Park at 3^rd & D Streets)

6:00 p.m.: Elf-Con Pub Crawl (Silver Dollar Saloon, Cortez Room, Wood Butcher, Stassi’s 4^th Ward)

 SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4TH

8:00 a.m.: Training Zone’s Elf Run 5K Run/Walk (levee behind Silver Dollar Saloon on First Street)

11:00 a.m.: Cowboy Christmas officially begins! (3^rd Street to 6^th Street)

11:00 a.m.: CORE Financial Group’s 1^st Annual Chili Cook-off (6^th & D Street, Marysville) Flight tastings available to the public for a donation.

11:30 a.m. – Noon: Yuba-Sutter Toy Run “Steel Horse” ride through Cowboy Christmas (D Street)

5:00 p.m.: 70^th Annual Marysville Christmas Parade

7:00 p.m.: Cowboy Christmas ends
