Sutter High on Target at the Sporting Clays Championship

PALO CEDRO, CA (MPG) - The Sutter High Huskies performed well at the CYSSA Sporting Clays State Championship, Sunday, Nov. 10 at Quail Point Hunt Club in Zamora, and took home a plethora of awards including individual, squad and team awards. 

Varsity as a team took second place in the series shoots leading up to the State shoot and then took second place varsity in the State Championship.  The junior varsity team took second place in the series shoots and second place in the State Championship.  Our Sutter Junior Shooters team took second place State Championship and took a first place squad award.

A varsity squad consisting of Garrett Bartels, Ceasar Moulton and Tyler Siller took second place as a varsity squad.  

A junior varsity squad consisting of Manny Moulton, Connor Simpson and Nico Buttacavoli took second place junior varsity.

A Sutter Junior Shooters team squad consisting of Brock Moody, Landon McCracken and Trevor Munger took first place intermediate advanced division.   

Individual awards: Sutter High was in multiple shoot offs for individual tie scores and did very well. 

Sutter’s very own Ceasar Moulton, Logan Munger and Tyler Siller tied for third place varsity and after a shoot-off were in third place, fourth place and fifth respectively.   

In junior varsity Sutter’s Nico Buttacavoli was in a shoot-off for third place and Manny Moulton and Landon Epperson were in a 3-way shoot-off for fifth place. 

Sutter junior team member Brock Moody got in a shoot-off for second place individual and was successful.  Sutter juniors’ Landon McCracken took fifth.
