Marysville Mayor Chris Branscum said, “The exact timing and capital required and sources of capital to do the work on the portion of the structure that is at risk of collapse are to be determined. That said, the estimated cost is in the range of $800,000 and the target date of completion and re-opening normal traffic patterns is January 2025.”
City Manager Schaad said, “In real time, city management and staff are working with regional partners to arrange financing and in parallel organizing engineering and demolition assets and associated costs. Once those pieces come together and are approved by the City Council, deliberate action will be taken to restore normal traffic patterns.”
Schaad went on to say, “The city and hotel property owner interests remain in communication with a view to resolving their differences regarding the overall disposition of the hotel structure and property and its costs and burdens.”
