OROVILLE, CA (MPG) - Butte College's men's soccer coaching staff lead by Head Coach Ross Sandberg and Assistant Head Coach Austin Mathews, after their 3C2A 2nd Place winning season, took home the award from the United Soccer Coaches as the 2024 Staff of the Year.

United Soccer Coaches honors National and Regional Staffs of the Year for NCAA Division I, II and III, as well as NAIA, NCCAA and Junior College Divisions I, II and III. United Soccer Coaches announced the association’s 2024 National Staff and Coach of the Year recipients for senior and junior college, high school, and youth/club soccer, as voted on by the coaches in their respective divisions and levels.

The winning coaching staffs from all levels and from all over the country, were honored at the United Soccer Coaches Awards Ceremony on Jan. 10, at the Marriott Hotel in Chicago, Ill. in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention. All winners received a plaque in honor of their achievement. Each Regional Staff of the Year appeared on the ballot for National Staff of the Year, along with the addition of staffs from all schools which reached the semifinals of their respective championship.
