Marysville Chief of Police on Administrative Leave

We understand there may be questions surrounding this matter and want to assure all concerned that we are following all appropriate protocols.
As this is a personnel matter, we are unable to disclose specific details regarding the reason for the administrative leave. We are bound by privacy laws and internal policies that protect the confidentiality of individual employment matters. We appreciate the public’s understanding of these limitations.
The length of the leave has not yet been determined. During this time, Lieutenant Vance Nabeta will assume the responsibilities of acting Chief and continue leading the department to ensure continuity of operations and public safety services.
We want to assure the community that the Marysville Police Department remains fully operational and committed to serving with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. There will be no disruption to police services or response capabilities.
